CMAC – Back in the Dojo Letter #3: Curfew and Pretesting!

Dear Chandler Martial Artists!

Welcome to June!  We made it!!!!  We survived the craziest spring ever and are officially into the summer months!  Life is so good and we are really enjoying working out and refining our skills!

First some points of business about CURFEW:

We are now under a weekly curfew enacted by Governor Ducey.  In order to honor this curfew and ensuring the safety of all of our dedicated students, we will be offering the Monday night Advanced Class two hours earlier, to be before the teen/adult class, from 5:00-6:00PM followed by the normal 6:00-7:00 Teen/Adult Class.  We will be cancelling Wednesday’s Advanced Class- to be resumed next week.  Thank you for your understanding!

Monday, June 1, 2020

5:00 – 6:00 Advanced Class

6:00 – 7:00 PM Teen/Adult Class

Now, time for some CMAC summer goals:

Goal #1

This is belt pretest-week.  Please speak to Sensei Atisa about getting pre-tested…take that first step to focusing on moving forward. The first step to TESTING! Finally…are you ready? Let’s go!

Goal #2

Let’s get fit!! After so many weeks stuck in doors.. lets get in shape!  We are opening competition team training to anyone who would like to take a strength and conditioning class on Saturdays.  This class is open to anyone who would like to get in shape no matter their level of conditioning.  No gi necessary!  No karate skill necessary!  Please speak to Sensei Atisa again about this class.  Let’s get fit together!

Goal #3

Moving into Phase 2 of our soft opening!  This Saturday, June 6, 2020, we will be opening up more spaces for people to train.  We will be giving each person in the dojo 9 square feet to workout in.. fully ensuring social distancing while allowing for more than 7 participants.  We are so excited to see that our community is ready for the next step!  Way to go, Warriors!

Respectfully,

Atisa Vargas & Kelley Hutta
